Why is Ed running? Ed wants to offer the people of Stillwater a
choice for new leadership and fresh ideas to guide our
community into the future. A team approach is a must! Sound
fiscal management is paramount! And above all, meet the needs
of the community through a simple but effective program –
communication!
What does Ed hope to accomplish? By invoking a motto of
Integrity First, Service before self and Excellence in all we do; Ed
will work to develop a cohesive Town government delivering the
best possible services at the least possible cost.
What will be Ed's major target improvements?
- Budget Oversight -- The Budget will be his number one
priority -- to control and substantiate spending -- Increase
public visibility and awareness.
- Improving public interaction with Town Government through
better communication. Always having an open door policy so
residents will feel welcome to come in and discuss their
concerns. It is your town hall and you should always feel
welcome.
-- Our most economical communication tools are Town
Meetings, Internet access to Town Web Site, E-mail access to
Town Officials and Newspaper notices & publications.
- Pursuing a sound strategy for growth, be it tourism, business
or residential, to lower taxes and improve services.
- Seek out technological innovations to improve distribution of
town services; i.e. water, sewer, power, or highway maintenance
to mention a few.
- Partnering with surrounding Government entities to yield the
best possible support of services to all area residents and
evoking a stronger unified voice to our State Leaders.
Ed has served our country for over 36 years as a Federal Civil
Servant and 38 years as a member of the Air National Guard and
US Air Force. Ed will fervently enjoy the opportunity to continue
serving the public as Supervisor for the Town of Stillwater.
